Abstract
Generally, the terrain is characterized by its morphology in terms of similarity and homogeneity, and there are many methods of dividing the terrain into homogeneous zones. This research came to classify the Lebanese terrain into homogeneous zones by statistical methods based on digital elevation models, and for the validation of these geomorphological zones, the resulted map was compared to the geomorphometry and floor vegetation maps of Lebanon after updating them based on the models of digital elevations.
The old geomorphometry and vegetation zoning maps of Lebanon were made from topographic maps digitized and updated basing on digital elevation models and GIS geoprocessing algorithms to form a validation platform for the resulted geomorphological zoning map.
A climatological interpretation of each of the generated geomorphological zone could more help in the understanding of the Lebanese orography.

بشكل عام، تتميز التضاريس بأشكالها من حيث التشابه والتجانس، وهناك العديد من الطرق لتقسيم التضاريس إلى مناطق متجانسة.
يصنّف هذا البحث التضاريس اللبنانية إلى مناطق متجانسة من خلال الأساليب الإحصائية القائمة على نماذج الارتفاعات الرقمية، وللتحقق من صحة هذه المناطق الجيومرفولوجية، تمت مقارنة الخريطة الناتجة مع الخرائط الجيومرفولوجية وخرائط تقسيم الغطاء النباتي بحسب التضاريس في لبنان بعد تحديثها بناءً على نماذج. الارتفاعات الرقمية.
صُممت الخرائط الجيومورفومترية وخرائط تقسيم الغطاء النباتي القديمة في لبنان من الخرائط الطبوغرافية الورقية.
في هذا البحث قد تم تحديثها على أساس نماذج الارتفاع الرقمية وخوارزميات المعالجة الجغرافية لنظام المعلومات الجغرافية لتشكيل منصة دقيقة للتحقق من خريطة تقسيم المناطق الجيومرفولوجية الصادرة عن الأساليب الإحصائية، الى جانب التفسير المناخي لكل منطقة جيومرفولوجية متولّدة في فهم علم الجبال اللبناني.
