A number of studies have been investigating the changes in English departments, mainly enrollment in and requirements for undergraduate majors. Following the articles “Assessing the State of English Departments in Lebanon” (Yazigy, 2019) and “Lebanese University English Department Curriculum: Keeping up with the Global English and Learners’ Needs” (Yazigy, in process), this paper aims to examine the enrolment in the English department in the five branches at Lebanese University (UL).
