ملخص
يتطرّق هذا البحث إلى مسألة التلاعب والتحوير أو بث المعلومات الزائفة والتضليل في الخطاب الإعلامي، ويعالج مظاهر خفية من التلاعب إذ أنها قد لا تسترعي انتباه القارئ بالكامل على الرغم من الأثر الكبير الذي تحدثه في نفسه. إنها مسألة انقلاب المنظور ومعها عمليتي حذف وإضافة في واحدة من برقيات وكالة رويترز المترجمة من الإنكليزية إلى الإسبانية، خلال الحرب التي شنتها إسرائيل على لبنان في العام 2006.
تكمن أهمية هذه الدراسة في الاستنتاجات التي يمكن استخلاصها على مستوى أخلاقيات الترجمة والمترجم وأخلاقيات المحرر والتحرير وهي مرتبطة بالصورة الخطابية (ethos) للمترجم من جهة، وبالصورة التي تتشكل لدى الجمهور الهدف حول الجمهور المصدر من جهة أخرى. كما تكمن أهميتها على مستوى تحديد العلاقة الأنطولوجية والمهنية التي تربط ما بين الترجمة والتحرير في المجالات الإعلامية.

This study addresses the issue of information manipulation, falsification and spread of disinformation, in the translated political discourse, by the media and news agencies around the world. It focuses on hidden means of manipulation, often missed by readers despite the great influence they wield on them. Through omission and addition, a translated text can be altered to sway or even command the reader’s point of view in one way or another. As an example, we looked at one of Reuter’s translated news report, from English to Spanish, during Israel’s 2006 war on Lebanon.
The study and its conclusion focus specifically on the ethics of the translator/editor themselves and the translation/editing professions. These ethics are studied in relation to the translator/editor’s rhetoric ethos on one hand, and the image that is created in the target audience about the source audience, on the other. It also attempts to define the ontological and professional relationship between translation and editing in the media.
