Résumé de carrière

I am an associate professor in the Centre for Language Sciences and Communication at Lebanese University. Previously I was a research fellow Tools for dynamic representation of research activities of Institut Mines-Télécom of France at the Telecom Bretagne. I was also affiliated with Orleans University. I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Tours. I received a master's degree from the University of La Rochelle and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Lebanese University.
I have worked on various topics in Semantic Web, Information Retrieval and Natural Language Processing. I defended my PhD thesis Extraction and formalization of the semantics of hypertext links in cultural, scientific and technical documents at the University of Tours in 2007. I explored semantic information carried by hypertext links and proposed methods to formalize and automate its extraction. After my PhD thesis I'm interested in computational linguistics, with interests in the application on journalistic texts using data driven statistical modeling, linguistic and expert knowledge.
