18px;font-weight: bold;margin-bottom: 10px;text-align: left\">The Collective Tomb of the Maronite Patriarchs in the Qadisha Valley (1445-1845):<br \/>\nThe Beatification Story of Patriarch Estefan Al Douaihy (1630-1704) from archaeological, Forensic anthropology, and Genetics perspectives<\/label><br \/>\nMaronite Patriarch Estefan Al Douaihy was born in Lebanon in 1630 and passed away in 1704. He played a prominent role in promoting education, organizing liturgy, and documenting the history of the Maronites and the region. In 2018, the Maronite Church launched a legal request at the Vatican for his beatification, and in parallel, initiated a multidisciplinary project to locate his remains and identify them as part of the beatification process. The project included archaeological excavations, forensic anthropological investigations, and genetic studies.<br \/>\nIn this article, we will present the four phases of that project, explain the techniques used and discuss the current findings of each stage, starting with the archaeological excavations, to forensic anthropology analysis, then the modern and ancient DNA extraction and profiling, and finally, the comprehensive analysis. The excavations took place in a collective tomb in Saint Marina\u2019s Church in the Qadisha Valley, where the remains of the Maronite Patriarchs buried between 1445 and 1854 were discovered. The study focused on identifying the patriarchs using forensic anthropology methods including DNA analysis and carbon dating techniques. Preliminary results revealed a high probability that one of the skulls belonged to Patriarch Estefan Al Douaihy.<br \/>\nThe study also highlighted the funerary practices of that period and the significance of the collective tomb in the history of the Maronite Church, contributing to a deeper understanding of the history of the Maronites and the Patriarchs buried in Qadisha. This study is an important step towards preserving the spiritual and historical heritage of the Maronite Church and confirming Patriarch Estefan Al Douaihy\u2019s identity as a central figure in the study on a sample of members of the Lebanese community in the North Governorate in view of some demographic variables.<\/label><br \/>\nThis research addresses the issue of environmental deterioration in the Wadi Fara region, located on the eastern edge of the Western Lebanon Mountain Range, beneath Mount Al-Mukmal (3087 m). The region is dominated by a dry continental climate, characterized by strong rainfall fluctuations, sudden precipitation, and precipitation levels reaching up to 800 mm in the upper reaches of Wadi Fara (Al-Mahallisa, 1800 m). The formation of flumes intensifies water erosion, especially as slope gradients increase, with 67.7% of the area consisting of steep to very steep slopes. The soft, impermeable NCG rocks in the lower parts of the region contribute to surface runoff, further increasing erosion intensity. Moreover, 49.7% of the valley\u2019s lands are barren, while 25.7% have very sparse vegetation, which exacerbates surface crust hardening and makes the land more vulnerable to the impact of raindrops.<br \/>\nNegative human activities in the area, such as tree cutting, plowing, urban expansion, bulldozing, road construction, random grazing, and unsustainable agricultural practices, also contribute to worsening water erosion. These factors together are leading to natural environmental degradation, increasing the risk of mass movements and unpredictable flash floods for the local population.<br \/>\nIn response, a database was developed to create several thematic maps that display both natural and human factors affecting water erosion. Eight maps were overlaid to create an analytical map identifying the land&#8217;s sensitivity to water erosion, resulting in various solutions and recommendations. It was found that 88.3% of the total land area in the valley had a sensitivity to erosion ranging from moderate to severe, a finding that was confirmed through field validation.<br \/>\n<label cultural representations in Maha Jarjour&#8217;s short story collection A House on the Edge, using the semiotics of passions to analyze emotions, reactions, and the Arab passions that shaped the development of the characters.. It focuses on the identity dimension and the inner aspect of the selves by exploring the meaning within the discourse in the short story collection &#8220;A House on the Edge&#8221; and uncovering its identity-related connotations. The study also delves into a cultural critique of the discourse, revealing the implicit systemic cultural flaws within the narrative discourse.<br \/>\n     This study approaches the following problem: Did the primary structure of meaning and its identity-related space carry any specific Arab cultural particularity, or did it remain within the framework of general cultural lexical meanings? And did it succeed in redefining these passions and granting them new different values that could identify the obstacles to self-development in Lebanese society, or did it fail to do so?<br \/>\n     The study concluded that the primary structures of meaning and their identity-related space are linked to a specific Arab cultural particularity, as some passionate terms deviated from their dictionary definitions, forming a special lexicon for a dependent society. For instance, respect was associated with respecting cultural norms, including the suppression of women, placing them under male authority, and repressing them. Similarly, lying, usually considered a negative value, became a widespread value in relationships to preserve the ideal image of the other. Other passions also deviated from their dictionary meanings in Jarjour&#8217;s universe, highlighting the characters&#8217; fascination built on contradiction, where the domineering man&#8217;s role is to assert his identity by eliminating the woman&#8217;s role through violence and intimidation, using the right granted to him by society. This pushed the woman towards rebellion, which remained mere words, making her resemble the man. Lexical fields contributed to highlighting this ongoing tension between men and women and to revealing the contradiction present in the relationships between them.<br \/>\n     The particularity of passion in Jarjour&#8217;s universe emerged through the passion of despair created by the authority of the societal cosmos, which led the woman to live in complete dissolution, making her submit to the passion of longing, which manifests through tensions affecting the woman in her quest for an absent world of values dominated by disappointment, in search of perfection. The belief emerged based on trusting cultural heritage as a sign of an Arab cultural emotional energy. As for the possible generalizations, they appeared in the enjoyment represented by the love of possession that appears in both the real and virtual worlds, leading to the separation of Analyse d\u2019un \u00e9chantillon de commentaires de matchs de la 16\u00e8me Ligue \u00e0 la Coupe du monde de 2022<\/label><br \/>\nCette \u00e9tude sociolinguistique vise \u00e0 indiquer la dualit\u00e9 qui caract\u00e9rise le langage du commentaire sportif pour FIFA 2022, en s\u00e9lectionnant des matchs sportifs sp\u00e9cifiques pour quatre commentateurs sportifs: Hassan Al-Aidrous (Y\u00e9m\u00e9nite), Khalil Al-Bloushi(Omanais), Issam Chawali (Tunisien), et Jawad Al-Badda (Marocain) et les matchs commencent de la 16\u00e8me ligue, les quarts de finale et le match de classement pour la troisi\u00e8me classe, jusqu\u2019au match final. les matchs ont eu lieu du 3 au 18 d\u00e9cembre 2022,  qui a dur\u00e9 du 3 D\u00e9cembre 2022 au 18 d\u00e9cembre 2022.<br \/>\n    Nous expliquons comment ces commentateurs sont affect\u00e9s par leur origine sociale, et mettons en lumi\u00e8re ce langage moyen. Avec ses caract\u00e9ristiques phon\u00e9tiques et syntaxiques, qui est utilis\u00e9 par les commentateurs. Nous avons \u00e9galement identifi\u00e9 les mots \u00e9trangers et arabis\u00e9s qu\u2019ils utilisent, en les expliquant dans leur communaut\u00e9 sociale, ainsi que l\u2019intertexualit\u00e9 religieuse, litt\u00e9raire et populaire visible et en l&#8217;interpr\u00e9tant dans son contexte social. En outre, nous abordons les choix verbaux utilis\u00e9s par ces commentateurs, et qui portent des connotations sociales, et nous expliquons leur origine sociale, et indiquons s\u2019il existe une correspondance entre les capacit\u00e9s cognitives du commentateur et sa communaut\u00e9 locale qui l\u2019aide \u00e0 comprendre ces choix sociaux verbaux.<br \/>\n     De plus, nous comparons le contexte d\u2019utilisation soci\u00e9tale locale. Pour rendre nos r\u00e9sultats pr\u00e9cis et scientifiques, nous avons pr\u00e9par\u00e9 un questionnaire \u00e9lectronique et l\u2019avons distribu\u00e9 \u00e0 des personnes de diff\u00e9rentes
