ملخص
تمثل الثقافة نقطة البداية في حياة الإنسان الواعية، أي أن الثقافة تمثل الحد الذي يكتسبه الفرد بحكم انتمائه إلى المجتمع، ويصل بنا هذا المعنى إلى تعريف الثقافة بأنها الدم الذي يجري في شرايين الشعب، وتأسيسًا على ذلك ندرس في هذا البحث دور الثقافة في عملية الرعاية المستمرة للعقل، وتأهيل الفرد كي يتحمل مسؤولية بناء نفسه، وبناء المجتمع من حوله. وبهذا المعنى تصبح الثقافة سمة للمجتمع نفسه، أو صفة لا يكتسبها الفرد إلا بحكم انتمائه إلى مجتمع معين، وهكذا تظهر أهمية الثقافة في كونها تساعد المجتمع على الصمود والبقاء، والبحث في قضايا الثقافة وسبل النهوض بها، من أجل تدعيم الهوية الوطنية.

This research paper explores the role of culture in enhancing the human mind and preparing individuals to progress in their community. In this sense, the culture becomes a feature of the society itself, or a characteristic that the individual acquires only by virtue of his belonging to a specific society. Thus, the importance of culture is that it provides ongoing stability that enables human existence and survival, as well as providing the individuals with the means to build and maintain their national identity.
This paper starts by discussing the definitions of culture, based on Arabic language dictionaries, to conclude that culture means adjusting and guiding the social behavior, habits, traditions, etc. of a society. The paper then explains how culture creates a bridge between the individual and the society, and how globalization, though trying to impose its hegemony on other cultures has created cultural concepts revolving around dominating and controlling the individual and the society.
The research concludes that to confront the hegemony of this culture of globalism, the notion of “the resistance culture” has appeared, by building the national identity and strengthening it so that it does not fade and disappear.
